In a serendipitous post relative to yesterday’s item on Goya, Sid Fernando has grouped some links with information about the 1950 arrival of Nasrullah at Claiborne Farm, where the great stallion spent the rest of his life.

The brief video segments of Nasrullah arriving on train and then coming off the Claiborne Farm van are nice, in particular.

Nasrullah stood his first American season at stud in 1951, his first foals arrived in 1952, and among them was Nashua, who won the Belmont Stakes 55 years ago tomorrow.
